A subscribed student is a student that has his or her own free Chalksite account that allows teachers/professors to write messages, post assignments and post grades for them to see. Take a tour of the Student Chalksite.
After my school/university signs up, how do my teachers/professors use one of the purchased subscriptions?
Tell your instructors to signup for their individual Chalksite account by going to http://create.chalksite.com/signup. Once the instructor has created his or her account, he/she can enter in the school's username on their "Account" page under the label that says "School/University Subscription". After an instructor has requested subscription to your account, you will be notifed and then have the option to either approve or decline the subscription. All subscribed instructors count against your total number of purchased subscriptions.
Who can use Chalksite?
Teachers, professors, coaches, students, parents and even conference speakers and lecturers can use Chalksite. Any time you need to communicate with a specific group of people in an educational setting, Chalksite is perfect.
Is it free for students?
Yes! Students can sign up and use Chalksite for absolutely FREE and have complete access to their teacher's information.

Does Chalksite have to be installed on my computer?
No. Chalksite is a web-based, hosted application. That means there is never any installing, upgrading, or worrying about anything technical. All you have to do is sign up and use it with one of the following web browsers: Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari.
