St. Francis Xavier Parish is located in the center of Phoenix, Arizona. The parish has been in existence for more than 80 years and has over 3,800 households registered with it. As the world around the parish has evolved so has its office and reporting needs through out the years. Since computers were first introduced to churches back in the 80’s, St. Francis Xavier Parish had been exploring and reaping the benefits of church management software.

The Finance and HR representative, Francesca Russo, has diligently served in St. Francis Xavier’s parish office for over 24 years and remembers the early days of computerizing the parish. With the help of Francesca, St. Francis Xavier has been a faithful member of PDS since 1986. Francesca shares why her parish is a long-time PDS user:

"When I started at the parish, they were just looking into computerizing the church. So, I was able to help them look for the best product for the parish. We were actually one of the first test sites for PDS with PDS Church Office™ and PDS Ledger™, and we have stayed with them ever since. I have looked at other computer programs over the years, but there isn’t another program out there that gives me more benefits than PDS.

The best part of PDS is that it is church-based software. A lot of programs that we have looked at are more corporate focused and not church-based. PDS was designed to meet the unique needs of nonprofit churches and parish schools and that is why we love it.

I have discovered many benefits of PDS Ledger. There is the quick entry area where I can keep adding to a batch and the easy access to all my reports. It is very easy to maneuver around in the system. Really, there isn’t anything I can’t get from PDS Ledger.

It is very easy to train other staff members on how to use the program. I have trained several of our parish managers over the years. Actually, when PDS first started, I would train the local User Groups at the PDS Training Center. It was great helping other churches learn the system and sharing all the tips and tricks. If I ever have a question I can always call the PDS support team.
